TMP Florida Partners with Disability Organization
TMP has partnered with the Miami-Dade Business Leadership Network (BLN), a Florida-based organization that helps individuals with disabilities to find rewarding employment opportunities. This relationship exemplifies our core commitment to social responsibility - to enable people from all backgrounds to identify and pursue opportunities that not only provide for personal and professional advancement, but that also enhance the quality of life of those individuals, their families, and their communities.
"Don't look at my disability" is a key campaign message for the Business Leadership Network (BLN).
TMP helped to increase BLN's awareness through launching a local recruitment campaign. By leveraging relationships with multiple local media vendors, TMP's Director of Business Development, Robert Norris, helped negotiate media buys to provide BLN with in-kind advertising. TMP introduced BLN to new digital strategies that helped them manage their recruitment campaign more efficiently. Additionally, the ads appear online on Yahoo! HotJobs.com, within The Miami Herald's website career section, and on Jobing.com.
The relationship began in 2005 through introductions made by several clients. Lesley DeCanio, Regional Vice President, TMP Worldwide and current Chairperson of the BLN Marketing Awareness Committee, said, "It felt like a natural extension of our partnership to join the BLN and become actively engaged. We came away with a greater understanding of BLN's mission and a powerful connection."
What's next? We'll seek to leverage the relationships with top employers in South Florida to effectively educate them on the recruitment opportunity and to promote to them BLN's pool of qualified candidates with disabilities.
